We had a great experience at the Crab Shanty! We did go for lunch and it wasn’t too busy. The outdoor seating was good, and the server we had was really friendly and helpful. We ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was delicious. And we ordered Joe V’s Deep Diver Feast for two - what a great bang for your buck! Snow crab legs, whole lobster, mini lobster tails, crab stuff jumbo clams, scallops and shrimp scampi. It was the perfect amount and variety of seafood. The crab and lobster were cooked perfectly. They did seem to have a limited amount of claw crackers, so I would say the owners should invest in some more! Everything was delicious and we would definitely go back.

Always loved crab shanty for years but their wait time for seating and eating has gotten longer and so has ordering take out
I use to love them they fell off as far as the food. Butter was watery, garlic bread wasn't done the jumbo shrimps, baked potato was the best. I wasn't happy with crab legs.
The food doesn't disappoint. Well seasoned without being overly so. Eating out in the tent setting was fine, the heat kept us warm in the cold weather. Didn't think I would like the inconvenience of it, but the service wasn't lacking and the food was great. So didn't mind too much.
I've been going to City Island for years, recently discovered this place. Iove it, I've only ordered for pickup, but the food is great. Love the crab legs, wish they created a sauce to go with it, however it's still amazing. Would definitely recommend. Try one of the combinations recently, was enough to feed four people. Just wonderful.
