Waited ages to be served but the waitress who served us was lovely... they forgot something that I asked for...for what they charge for there food and how long we had to wait for it it's not worth the price or wait to be honest. Food coming from the kitchen was very slow as not busy at all.

Really enjoyed the updated menu, it’s still got a good selection but it seemed a bit more cohesive and has moved The Optimist into my top breakfast destinations. Fantastic vegan breakfast, the tofu scramble was especially tasty. The french toast was just right, light but indulgent. I’ll be back to try out the build your own pancake menu.
Lovely food, friendly staff. Location is just perfect, surrounded by so many venues. Very upmarket, trendy crowds and drink offering. Will definitely come back to visit The Optimist. Meat in the burgers is great, moist a d well done. The chips is not my favourite (too greasy). Veggie burger was lovely as well. Would not mind to have more pickled vegetables, fresh tomato, cucumber, maybe beetroot as a side? The would make the burger top the competition! Well done.
Booked a table, turned up and were told to wait as they had to wait for tables to clear. After waiting 15 minutes I asked how long it would be to which the response was “I don’t know you’ll have to wait and see”. Usually when you book a table and you’re told “Yes” you’d expect to be getting a table for that time. This was my first time going here, excited to try the burgers. I won’t be going back, terrible service.
Came here for the Smoking Griddle burger and we were not dissapointed . Food was delicious, lovely clean venue, and the staff member who served us was friendly. Will deffo return
