Great place. Really warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were told on the phone when booking we'd be outside in a heated 'mermaid pod'. When we arrived we realised that this was due to the main bar being refurbished and a makeshift outdoor restaurant had been made. Despite it being an October evening with torrential rain, inside was warm and cosy. There was a really good atmosphere and the staff were excellent and really helpful. I'd love to go back once the bar is open, but I'd urge you not to wait because its excellent now.

We have just had an excellent meal here. Called on the off chance they had a table for 6, they jiggled their tables and within half an hour we were sat in this amazing outdoor eating area. It's rustic and it has a brilliant atmosphere, quirky decor, great service and amazing food! This place is absolutely worth a visit, we will definitely visit again!
By far one of my favourite ever pubs. Great layout and design. Service was excellent and the food was the best I’ve ever had, with lots of choices too. Great value for money and would highly recommend to anyone!
Wow what more can I say, warm welcome, fantastic food, when we visit the Isle of Wight we always come here at least twice in our weekend away. Last time I enjoyed Sea Food Player, oh my, what an experience that was, so good. I would highly recommend this beautiful country pub to anyone wanting a pleasant evening out. Inside and outside sitting areas are good and comfortable. Dogs are allowed and fussed over. Thank you for having such a wonderful place for us visitors to enjoy :)
Amazing atmosphere in the festival style beer garden, they’ve gone to a huge effort to make sure it was all safe and socially distanced. We also had the best gluten free pizza with heaps of toppings - can’t wait to go back!
