Lovely carvery and well organised during these restricted times. Table service for drinks and then each table is asked to approach the carvery area . Due to the time limits of bookings you need to get your carvery when asked. Would definitely recommend and have a return visit.

Terrible place, booked a table we were sat down with about a metre between ourselves and the next table. Requested 3 times for a menu 35 minutes later they arrived but at this point it was too late for us and we had to finish drinks and leave. Whilst settling the bill for the drinks they charged us for the wrong table so then had to wait for a refund, on top of this only one card reader was there for the entire building and it was not being wiped down between uses.
On the 30th August 2020 I visited this historical pub for a good pint of hand pumped Lees real ale This pub is a gem Each room dates from the 16th century and it has a court house room dating from the 1620s This pub is a listed building and rightly so Also serves good beer good food just to put the icing on the cake
Great food, great atmosphere and drinks are not too pricey considering its a cool listed building. Recommended.
