My wife and I are pensioners and have not eaten out since March because of Covid, this was only our second time, and I have to say we felt safe and welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The food was faultless, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection, and when I said fresh I meant fresh no packet or frozen food. The Old Talbot is not the Savoy but it doesn't pretend to be, it is a spotlessly clean country pub that serves real food well prepared at good prices.

New COVID restrictions... all done very professionally.. fantastic food..beer and drinks served well and well kept... This is a pub that does good food.. job done.. Brilliant well done... 5 STARS.. Will come again..

Amazingly tasty breakfast bap (sausage, bacon and egg) today, along with some lovely local produce purchases....bread and chutneys. Looking forward to booking for Christmas
