Great country pub, with tons of character, not too far from the M1. Plenty of parking out the back. They had a beer and music festival taking place when we visited, and the normal menu was replaced with a tapas-style (English tapas) menu. We over ordered, as usual! The food was fantastic. Everything was home made and very well done. Super friendly staff too.

The food here is truly excellent. The celeriac and apple soup was one of the most delicious soup I've ever had - so simple and so good! Great selection of beers, friendly staff. Ask them to show you their collections on the history of the place!
Social distancing well thought and observed. Table service. Friendly landlady. Nice sheltered outdoor area. Highly recommended.
Well organised and friendly staff working under the difficult circumstances. Clean and very safe. Cannot fault it in anyway.
