Proper fish and chips. Stumbled upon the old harbour while looking for a place to eat. The menu looked substantial, and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and we're quick to take our order. The portion sizes are amazing! I was pleasantly surprised by the whale of a haddock I was served. Not only was the portion perfect, the batter and chips were spot on. All in all, I would highly recommend anyone in Weymouth to eat here.
Fantastic customer service, very accommodating! We were driving from Bristol to Weymouth after work for a weekend away and even though we realised we weren't going to get there in time before they closed, they offered to stay open longer so we could get our fish & chips. The fish & chips were great and my gluten free fish & chips were yummy.
This chip shop is very reliable, in the first lockdown in the spring when I walked to town to stock up with food supplies, on the way home I could always count on this chipy to be open so I could purchase fish & chips to sit by the harbour on a bench & eat my lunch, Marlboro was in lockdown, Bennetts if open were only doing click & collect nonsense, a chip shop at Preston was only taking cash with no cards payments & were doing strong trade, making the most of the take away food boom , real business people
Great portions and fresh fish. I was particularly impressed by the crispiness of the gluten free batter. It was delicious!
