When i was younger i loved this place and it was fab. all my birthdays and memories are here so i could never hate. Yet i do. This is because in 2016, even though over 3000 people signed a petition, ( in totternhoe that's basically everyone). They changed the owners. Tom and Julie left and the atmosphere went from home made, sweet and personal to a business that's harsh and just needs money. Wouldn't recommend now.

Had a lovely Sunday Roast here. Went with a vegetarian who had the nut roast with veggie gravy and all the trimmings. 4 different roast dinners for meat eaters. The Pork had beautiful cracking. Great value for money. Worth the drive. Quaint English pub with car parking and beer garden. Children friendly.

Food was exquisite. Service exceptional. Cost very very reasonable. All COVID guidance was followed to the letter and as a family of 6 celebrating a birthday, we all felt so welcome and unrushed...we will definitely go back.

Very accommodaing of my wifes request for a prawn salad, not on the menu. Typical pub fare. Three real ales, all Fuller's. Some bottled options. Large garden equipped for children. Covered seating as well.
