2019 is the Tenth consecutive appearances in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide. Up to 6 Real hand pulled ales available. Currently 30 Gins available. Excellent menu. Phone for availability.
As a real ale drinker, I've got to say this was the most disappointing pub on a real ale day out. 5 handpumps on a bar, only one of which serving beer (Stancil No7). I'd read read the reviews of this pub and was expecting much more, especially after hiking 1 mile uphill from the train station! The local CAMRA branch need to seriously consider how this pub justifies an entry to the Good Beer Guide. Footnote: Having read the comments from the landlady in response to my review, I accept that in the current corvid situation, perhaps I was overly critical of the having the choice of only one real ale, (the standard of which I have no complaints about) and perhaps on my next visit and hopefully in less trying times, I can look forward to sampling more of what the Old Colonial has to offer.
