Brilliant traditional and historic pub. Nice simple pub food. Good value. Be perfect if few things not overcooked like yorkshire puddings and sticky toffee puddings. I know it's a very old listed building but some better ventilation would be good, as gets quite greasy-kitchen smelling throughout, ruining atmosphere somewhat and making your clothes smell. Tandoori tiger prawns starters are a delight. Pork pie and mushy peas was delicious. Highly recommended. Look forward to coming again. Thanks
Lovely atmospheric pub. Plenty of parking. Covid precautions taken seriously. Bit pricey (11 for 2 beers and crisps).
A really pleasant lunchtime stop off on our country walk. Great selection of cask ales.
You just have to try \Bread and butter\ real ale. Now no-one could tell me why anyone would name an ale \bread and butter\ but anyway don;t miss the opportunity ! A truly traditional English pub where you can sit and relax with a great beer in your hand !!
