The Oaks and Little Oaks Care Home

My mum was here a few years ago and the care then was good and have seen improvements with CQC reports and have heard very good reports from friends who have and had relatives there recently. Would recommend home to anyone .

Had issues but really getting better. This was a great place well run and with dedicated staff and management. However the sudden management change saw serious staff walking out and exceptionally poor care and choices being made with the CqC having to step in. This led to a period of uncertainty, but new managers and staff have really started to turn this place around. From a point where they were excellent to very bad, and now back to serious improvements. The care and support staff are all very caring and show a high level dedication to the job. Always friendly and helpful with a great range of activities by Val, Same has to be said for the nursing staff. The only criticism has to be that the staff seem to always be short staffed, with an over burden of paper work being the key reason. Whilst staffing may be right the impression is they are over stretched and the addition of a couple of general assistants to cover basic care needs like drinks and social would help. Still good to see staff working to change options over the establishment. Real improvement and new manager really shows how pushing a dedicated care those and having a staff that understand their roles and those they care for. Massive improvement.
