Veg smaller on portions , Roast potatoes , seamed a little under cooked for my personal preference (I like them crispy) so it's not their fault , All in all tasted good and I still ain't my dinner Staff were friendly and very helpful Very accommodating, Only 1 start reduced due to ground floor level toilet , is not very disabled friendly , you do need to manage few steps to the outside toilet , somebody wheelchair bound, would most likely struggle with this venue for toilet access. It's a little hidden gem, when it comes to homemade cooked foods , just not advertised well enough Maybe that's something there be new owner can focus on in the futurebecause people locally and tourists wasn't aware of this on the day and I asked many people even people that work in the local shops I had spent hours trying to find somewhere suitable to eat, found by chance and just going and walking in and asking , I didn't see anything that popped up to see we serve roast dinners

Had a pleasant snack here at the new Malton the staff were prompt to seat us in the library room with a lovely view of the church outside the rest of the bar area was full with people eating thought it must be good here. We had the 4oz steak sandwich with a few chips and the cheddar and pickle sandwich with a few chips. 2 pints of Stowford press cider . Would have loved to have tried more from the very varied menu . Such a great selection for people . Gluten free and dishes that can be made gluten free . We will be back this way again and not hesitate to eat here again .
Consistently superb dining. Current tandoori chicken starter phenomenal. Excellent range of wines by the glass and well served local cask beer. Faultless.
This is a real gem of a place, definitely worth a visit booking advised. Food is excellent staff brilliant. Myself and my husband visited the area for a couple of days had lunch in here and were so impressed came back the following night for dinner. We both decided in lockdown to stop eating meat and go pescatarian just for lighter meals no other reason but after looking at the meal choices here the first night I had all fish then the following has meat just cause I couldn’t resist the choice and wow was not disappointed at all everything was amazing. So go and visit this place it’s amazing x xx xx thanks to the amazing staff that make this possible. We will definitely be back x xx
Food, service, setting, ambience... all fantastic. Highly recommended. What a gem! A credit to everyone involved. The monkfish and halibut on the seafood platter were off the scale!
