Felt really safe here( in the current Corona virus pandemic). Everything was spotlessly clean, and systems were robustly in place to keep it so, and people socially distanced. The owners were so friendly and welcoming, the service was excellent and the food delicious. The roast beef on Sunday was plentiful and very tender, and great Yorkies.Couldn't fault it. A lovely experience that we repeated again later in the week. We both had the lamb and it did not disappoint! Really tender and tasty. Beautiful well-kept village also.

Fell upon this place lunchtime today. Well, we were quite late for lunch. But, the landlady was very obliging and welcomed us in. We only wanted a light lunch and chose the hot chicken and bacon salad. It was a pleasant change to have chunky roasted chicken and bacon and a very generous portion at that. During this time of the Covid 19 pandemic, we found every precaution had been put in place. So, thank you for your hospitality! Jan and Bob
Great service best pie I've had in a long time and from a pie lover it was a proper one with pastry sides and base too. Really friendly and would definitely return if in the area again..

Had a really nice meal with family. Nice atmosphere and very cosy feel to the place in general. Food was really good quality and the kids portions were pretty big as well. Would definitely come here again
