First time in this fairly local pub, thought we would give it a try. Great GF/VE/V menu options, lovely steak and very polite. Will certainly be back again. Thank you very much.

Beautiful meal. Service excellent, pub atmosphere. Brilliant. Use to be headchef and rented the kitchen. Really nice to see they survived these times.x
Had the gluten free fish & chips & it was huge. Little bit too much batter for my liking but the fish was lovely. Plenty of chips which also were great
Mains and starters was decent, lack of desert choices. However, COVID-19 guidelines the pub stated it was following, was clearly not actually being followed. No one way system, pints being ordered and collected at the bar, and no masks. Room for improvement.
Dreadful service!! Was holidaying in the Forest of Dean and this place came recommended by our host. Made a reservation for the garden but checked what would happen if the weather was not conducive for outdoor dining. Assured there would be a place inside. Left contact details. Arrived. Left waiting. Clearly understaffed as they were rushing around. Finally got seen to, only to be informed, that as it had been drizzling we didn't have a table and the one inside had other people dining - we could wait but they were just starting their main. They had my details. They could have call us to explain the situation. Wasted trip and three hungry children to feed.
