Great little English pub. Very friendly staff. A selection of beers both on tap and bottled, all very reasonably priced. An alfresco beer garden out the back. One of many in the street. Well worth a visit and a bit away from all the \touristy \ pubs. Well worth discovering.

This is definitely the best pub in York with a great atmosphere safety and really cheap beer it's a good option if you want to try out a good pub
Lovely pub excellent staff Lynsey is an amazing host makes the pub what it is. She couldn’t be more friendly and helpful even found us an Indian restaurant that was open booked us in and got us taxi!
Atmospheric down to earth beer garden music outside if wanted. Cheap sun trap in afternoon in summer sport can be put on the three indoor tvs different on each
Lovely pub but alarm bells were ringing. People not using hand sanitizer. No one on the door to issue you with a seat. People entering and leaving by the same door. People bringing food onto the premises from the local chip chop including staff. Only one member of staff in the pub. Not good enough during a pandemic
