Met up with family great meal in a lovely town friendly service with good affordable food. Very happy waitress nothing too much trouble. Great social distancing with plenty of hand sanitizer and track and trace in place.

Had a good time at The Nags Head. Came here on a Sunday after a walk around the area. The place was very traveller friendly. There is a bar and a restaurant side to eat at. We choose the bar side, which was lively with the rugby on. Sitting in the front room felt homely with the open fire burning and I could still see the rugby from where I was sitting. I addition to a Sunday lunch, they did some classic pub favourites and sandwiches also. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our meals didn't take long to arrive. The portions were a good size and my sandwich was generously filled also. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
We called at this lovely country pub for lunch today. I had the most amazing plate of Lasagne, totally delicious. The lady who served us, Rebecca could not have been more obliging. We will definitely revisit this pub when we are in the area again
Absolutely not as described. The Nags Head displays a genuinely attractive menu on line, however, on entering we were informed that they were operating a strictly limited menu. This was disappointing however, we pressed on, undeterred. We read the menu, we were deterred. 3 or 4 dreary choices of mains disarmed us so much that we actually forgot to take a picture of their attempt at a menu to show how poor the choice is. For context, we aren't snobs and instead of eating here, we bought a sandwich at the Co-Op. Please don't fall for the menu on their web site, the pictures of the restaurant or the reviews on Google. Best avoided.
Perfect place for a lunch during a work day. The specials list always changes and has some really good dishes! Ale selection is also to my taste :)
