Called around about 15 places on trip-advisor who were fully booked (thanks to eat out to help out), so we were grateful that the Nag’s Head could accommodate us. We received a friendly welcome as we stepped into this old school country pub (dark wood everywhere with red upholstery) and were shown to our table. The waitress was warm and did a great job and the food came out fairly quickly. It was all well presented and well cooked, but portion sizes weren’t huge and we weren’t blown away. It was their first week doing eat out to help out, as initially he only asked for 11.70 (for 4 adults and 2 children), but after I explained I didn’t want to rip them off, it came back as just under 40. Not a bad experience (and surprisingly friendly from some of the negative reviews on here), but nothing to write home about either.

Lovely country pub but just a shame the landlady attempted to charge my friend another, 28 only seconds after I had paid the full bill. One thing I can't abide is a thief especially one who knew damn well what she was doing
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and food delicious.
Lunchtime walk from Coat to the Nags Head pub Martock where we enjoyed our lunches - one sausage and mash, one macaroni cheese and bottle of wine, then delicious puds. Great atmosphere, great food and warm welcome to us and our dog. Really good value. Now planning another trip from home in Cornwall.
