The Museum of Power is a lovely little place to visit, we went during heritage weekend which had the added bonus of being free. You can pretty much walk round the wholr of the site, the museum itself contains a number of machines - I think it woukd be fair to say that some apeal more than others... the kids sort of enjoyed pressing the buttons but I think our two are just a tad to young to have any idea of what they are doing, even when I tried to explain. The volunteers / staff were very good. Kids got stickers and a robot trail to do as well as an 'I spy' nature type thing for while we wondered around outside - nice touch they also got a little gift for finding everything! The railway was closed on our visit which was a tad disappointing, but we did take a look at the fairy garden. The chap running it impressed the kids with his magic bubbles, he was very good with them and even managed to get a smile out of the shy one. Tea room / cafe looked good and we may visit again when trains are running, at which point we will try the cafe out.

It was a truly delightful place. The big kid in me enjoyed the magical model village. The scale and variety of engines was amazing. Lovely tea room with fantastic outside space. We'll be back!
What a great museum, the staff are .ore than helpful and the lady really went out of her way to look after us there today. My son had such a great visit. Will be back soon.
Not bad, friendly staff but the train wasn’t running and the model village was shut. Cafe did a nice cream scone!
Local museum run by a band of friendly dedicated volunteers. Lovely tea room with lunches and yummy cakes. Good Covid precautions. Set in picturesque grounds.
