Great place to eat and drink if your in the pub food. The food was fabulous and the customer service was amazing, probably because was lunch time and nobody in there . Try the blue cheese burger it's out of this world and the chicken pie was fresh and delicious.

Visited but they had stopped serving food. I was just about to leave and Alan kindly said the chef would stay to make us food. I had the pie and it was so tasty. Great portion size and price.

We visited in early September whilst on holiday. We hadn't booked, but the landlord had a chat with the chef and they kindly squeezed us in. The food was outstanding and generously portioned. There's a brilliant play area for the kids out back, and the garden also has a running stream through it. Look forward to returning again sometime in the future!

Wonderful food in a modern pub setting and very efficient service. They also cater for kids which was good for our boys..the country veg soup was amazing!

*please reply* A nice pub in a lovely area with polite staff and a large car park. I cannot attest to the quality of food, as I stopped in only to have a coffee on a long journey. I'm not one to complain about prices, but this one has been playing on my mind. I ordered a double espresso, and nothing else. This set me back 6.50. at the time I was a little stunned, but given the appearance and upkeep of the venue I assumed that I had just stumbled across a much higher tier establishment than I was expecting. I thought oh well, I'll treat myself, expecting a nice espresso mug with a little jug of milk available with loads of sugars and a biscuit. Na. Average coffee in a standard mug, and two brown sugars. I also received a full mug of coffee, which is not a double espresso. To their credit, when I enquired about the price the staff politely confirmed the price. I am open to the possibility that I am missing something, like a service charge or parking fee, but neither of these were made remotely clear if that is the case. Overall a nice building in a nice place with good staff, but the price of that coffee left a bad taste in my mouth.
