Popped in today on a bike ride and would recommend. Good hot coffee and very nice couple/owners(?). We had some dark chocolate and coconut slices which were superb. They were ever so helpful in allowing me to fill water bottles as well. Great to see somewhere staying open during these times.

A lovely little cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. The toilets were nice and clean, which is getting rare lately. We only had tea and coffee but both were excellent. The staff were friendly too.

A beautiful little cafe in the High Street of Cheddar. The service was perfect. The servers were polite and courteous and were pleasant. The card machine was broken, and we were advised of this as soon as we entered the cafe that it would be cash only. We ordered out food and drinks and it came out beautifully presented and was quick - even though it was quite busy! The food was absolutely wonderful, it was worth every calorie!! Will definitely come back again. The decor was lovely, it was warm inside and felt cosy. Plenty of seating available. Toilets and free wifi available.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a great experience in this cafe. We popped in for a cream tea. The staff were friendly enough (to start with) and the place was clean and tidy. But the mainstay of a cream tea is surely the scone. Well mine literally crumbled as soon as I put the knife in it to cut it and I was left with the bottom and a million tiny little pieces. Have you ever tried to spread cream and jam onto a crumb? Well let me tell you it is impossible! The bottom just about managed to stay together but it was only as I was using kid gloves to add the toppings. I did speak to one of the staff, she may have been the owner I’m not sure, but she was definitely not happy with my mentioning it as she just said OK after me saying it had fallen apart and that it was impossible to add the toppings. OK, OK, OK is not really conducive to a conversation. I said that maybe she could mention to the supplier that they were too crumbly and she replied that she had made them herself that morning and did I want another one. This offer was not made in good humour and it was obvious that she was miffed that I had complained and she took it personally as she had baked them. It was not a personal complaint as I have nothing against someone that I don’t know but an apology and a smile to a customer, who was very polite in her complaint, would have been welcome and far better customer service. I did not take her up on her offer of a replacement as I didn’t want another plate of crumbs. I would not advise anyone to not visit here, the rest of the menu may well have been excellent, but if I am ever in Cheddar again I will visit somewhere else for my cream tea.

Great vegetarian selection and amazing cakes and coffee in this perfectly positioned café, in the main street. Spotlessly clean inside with friendly and polite staff. Lovely, quiet seating area at the rear to enjoy lunch. Definitely recommend
