It was exceptional to start, great venue and location. Friendly waitresses. We went on Wednesday for EOTHO and I think it got too busy for them to handle. It took 3 hours from start to finish (we were the early ones) and mistakes were made for us and other tables too (they've forgotten 2 of the dishes we ordered and then made a mistake on receipt which they rectified when we settled the bill). Sourdough was so tasty, everything else was ok. I asked for some bread to eat the rillettes with. Croquettes was a little greasy. Honeycake was suppose to have clotted cream served but it was whipped. The sole was probably the most exciting dish and unusual. They had a slightly different menu outside in the beer garden to the one inside (the had 1 different main course). No big issue but you might have had something in mind! They have a different menu all the time depending on ingredients so maybe you'll have better luck! It is a lovely venue.

Absolutely stunning food and drinks. The staff are very knowledgeable about the food and drink they serve and can always make a recommendation. The extensive drinks list is always changing and has things you just can’t get anywhere else. Get booked in !

If you want to eat in the restaurant you’ll most likely need to book in advance - Jay Rayner’s more than complementary article in the Guardian has definitely put this place on the map. The tasting menu is amazing - imaginative use of often local, foraged ingredients with a menu that changes regularly to match what’s seasonal. Great wine selection with a focus on ‘natural’ wine, many available by the glass.
Phenomenal food and a very warm welcome from the amazing staff. Really impressed with everything that we ordered and with the low intervention wines! Coffee was great too, and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed. Will be back x
