Covid times. Halloween. We went for a Saturday evening meal, greeted by the friendly owners as we entered. Food was excellent, we had starters and a main course. I had the ribs which were awesome and in a secret recipe rum sauce, my lass had the fancy fish and chips. Washed it down with a local bitter called Legless Cow by Hillside Brewery- very very good! In all, relaxed and inviting place, great food, great and friendly staff, great beer. My only slight criticism is the cocktail I had for dessert didn’t seem to have any punch to it. Definitely returning.

After a month of trying new places during eat out to help out and generally being underwhelmed we finally had an outstanding meal! Covid preparations were also the most well planned and executed of anywhere we've been and the whole experience was top tier. It's about an hour's drive away but it is going to be become a regular treat!
Absolutely brilliant. Loved everything they cooked for us. The pork ribs were finger licking good. The hake and the smoked salmon were also fabulous. Chris and Dawn were perfect hosts. Thank You folks. We would love to come back.

While enjoying a few days break in Ross on Wye our B&B recommended The Moody Cow as one of the best places in the area to have a meal. We were not disappointed as our meal was excellent from starters, main courses and a cheese board which was a meal in itself. The cheerful owner and the attentive service of the staff under the current covid conditions made the evening a very pleasant experience.
