The food is overpriced for the quality you are getting. We had Sunday roasts and some potato slices were so deep-fried so they looked like cracklings. We also ordered a carrot soup from the kids' menu for our child and it took a while for them to make it just to find out that it was so spicy that he could not eat it at all even though he bravely tried. The tables were dirty and sticky on touch. We should have left straight after discovering that but our son was so hungry. So 1 star for the food and venue and 1 star just because they removed the carrot soup from the bill when we complained.

Had Sunday lunch here, August 23rd, lunch was good, service excellent, dog friendly also. However felt I had to post to object about the 1 extra charge for a small piece of crackling that my wife requested with her lamb. This was an unnecessary charge, & not acceptable in my opinion, especially considering I had the pork, & had no crackling, which I wouldn't have anyway. My wife paid the bill, & I didn't learn about this till we had left, otherwise I would have got my 1 back at the time. This may be a petty issue, but considering the meal was not cheap ( Cotswold village taken into account) I found this charge ludicrous. So to the management I say play fair, & don't be so tight, & to future customers, don't stump up for the pig skin, it doesn't warrant a charge.

Booked a table here tonight based on menu shown on website. Actual menu was very limited and quite honestly we had more exciting food back at home. The area we were seated also smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke so we left without ordering.

Wondered in on a Monday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the duck pate. Hubby had the gluten free fish and chips which was a real treat
