This pub/restaurant is run by a very passionate owner and his family! Their service is top class:) great selection of beers as well!! Very impressed.
Four of us had a table booked on a Tuesday afternoon, this was our first visit to the Mercat. Was a small issue with the booking, fortunately it was quickly resolved. I had steak grill and pudding. Food was excellent, a generous helping and well cooked. C19 restrictions didn't restrict our visit other than having to use the far away entrance on a one way system. Hand gel was provided at the entrance and exit. Was a nice afternoon with nice company. 45
Lovely service, great food! If management/owner read these comments : please put on some spotlights in the bar, giving some light on the collection of single malts (directing from the shelf towards ceiling, or from the ceiling towards the whiskey bottles, or both) - making sure that it does not blind your barman, but makes it easier for him to find what has been ordered (it would also draw all whiskey lovers attention, right in their face at the entrance). Take care about your staff - it's a pain to work in the dark!
Great meal for my birthday on 1/11. Service great, meal amazing especially dessert. The owner is lovely and actually makes time to say hello etc.
