We have just enjoyed the most heavenly Lamb Liver and Bacon casserole ever. Meltingly tender liver, super smooth mash and perfectly spiced red cabbage topped with gorgeous gravy and crispy onions - heaven. We will most definitely be visiting again. Superb.

Popped in for a spot of lunch, good menu to choose from at sensible prices. Two hours later we left, having sampled various drinks including the extensive gin menu. Perfect spot on the high table in the window which was wide open. Very European. Bridport at its best.

Vibe: really friendly staff, lovely interior, seats out the front and a nice patio back garden and dog friendly Cleanliness: great inside and out. Drinks: gin and tonic from a list of 60 gins was 6.50, pretty sure it was a double so very happy with that. There is plenty of choice of other drinks too. Food: we just had bar snacks- chicken wings, prawns and calamari. The chicken wings were nice, cooked perfectly though a little bland and the citrus sour cream was ok; the calamari was fantastic, genuinely the best calamari I have had out of Greece, and the ginger dipping sauce was lovely, would definitely recommend; the prawns were a little disappointing as the lettuce did not look fresh and about 6 of the prawns were full of eggs in the legs, which lead me to believe they hadn't been thoroughly cleaned... as they were shell on this did not worry me too much so just discarded them but would like them served without the prawn eggs next time. They were perfectly cooked and the bloody mary mayonnaise sauce was really nice. The food was very reasonably priced and came at a reasonable speed. Would I return: yes, definitely
