There are super clear COVID rules when you arrive. The staff are at a minimum so be patient with them. Started inside but got a table on the front soon enough. Excellent drinks and a great pizza! Really crispy base, loads of toppings and great flavour! Thanks!
Called in yesterday for a post beach beer, and despite being seated by the server, she apparently didn’t expect us to rehire any kind of service. Despite attempts to place an order, she failed to acknowledge our presence, and even took orders from two tables that she had seated AFTER our arrival. Needless to say, despite being patient, and understanding the challenges due to Covid, there is no excuse for poor service, so we left, and probably won’t return.
As strangers to the bar we were sharply reminded to remain behind the red line, a dark red line in a low light environment and then told it was table service only. Why the red line if only table service? Why were we not met at the door if only table service and advised of this? I appreciate that times are difficult at the moment but what happened to basic civility? Respect staff is plastered almost in every public house in the country. WHAT ABOUT RESPECT THE CUSTOMER? Sorry, will not be back. Disgraceful attitude.
