Great local pub with an excellent selection of drinks and welcoming staff. The chameleon downstairs is fantastic too.
Wish I had visited this place last so I could stay til the end. From entrance to leaving, I was made to feel so welcome. Glen gave me a sample of each of the 3 cask ales which may have been full halves. I said I will have a half of each so just top up the samples but he did 3 extra halves and told me to finish the samples. From that, the regulars just got talking to me to a point that I felt I had been here many times. By the time I left, the original batch of people had left and I was talking to others that had come in. Just 100% friendly. Can't wait to return but will eat first then come here to see the evening off. Thank you Glen, red headed barmaid and locals. You make the long journey here memorable.
Great atmosphere and seems bit more smarter and classier than a lot of town centre bars
Upstairs bar serving at leazt 3 handpumped beers...very cosy clean and comfortable...
