Came here with my mum, last minute decision. The staff here are so polite and welcoming, always willing to help in any way possible. A massive thank you to Lucy, always willing to stop for a chat to anyone, such a lovely woman and She’s great at her job. The Malt Shovel also made us feel safe, the restrictions are great, when you walk in there’s sanitizer with a foot pedal. However, they do only accept card during this hard time.

Fabulous refurbishment. Kept the malt shovel ambience but given it a fresh new look.
1st time since it reopened. Myself my son and girlfriend just had dinner. The steak and ale pie chips gravy was excellent and the staff were very nice. Definitely go again.recomend a visit.
I have been coming to this pub for over 15yrs on and off, I now travel from Lincoln due to it serving some of the nicest food around, the price is unbelievable and the service from all the staff is amazing I tell everyone about this pub and advise anyone to go to it
