LOOKING AT IT FROM THE STREET, NOTHING STANDS OUT ABOUT THE MAIN INGREDIENT. NOT TO WORRY.......THEIR FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY HATEFUL! THE ARTICHOKE HEAVEN DIP AND GREEN CHILE PORK STEW ARE DELECTABLE! COZY INSIDE, WITH AMPLE OUTDOOR DINING AREA AS WELL. WAITSTAFF IS FRIENDLY, PROVIDING TIMELY SERVICE. THIS CHARMING PLACE IS CLOSE ENOUGH TO HOME THAT I'LL CERTAINLY BE A FREQUENT GUEST. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I almost didn't give this review because I don't want to have to fight you for a seat or a table, but the folks at The Main Ingredient deserve a shoutout. Both outdoor and indoor seating is available alongside about 6 stools at the bar. Speaking of which, the bar has a slender liquor selection while serving up [somewhat] rotating draft and bottles/canned beers. The menu isn't huge, but it doesn't have to be; everything I've had has been delicious, with my favorite being the Acapulco cheesesteak (great, now I'm craving one). You'll find plenty of regulars from the local Coronado area, and the owner is likely sitting outside or at the bar. [Well-behaved] dogs welcomed outside. Recommended!

We had lunch outside, very cool & comfortable. It's a dog friendly place, Gerbook & Latte dig the canine scene. GREAT staff, very friendly & helpful, recommended tasty sandwiches & beers. Gorj loves the wacky art inside...favorites: Pee Wee & Mr. Rogers with knuckle tattoos. I KNOW YOU ARE BUT WHAT AM I...infinity.

Fantastic lil spot. The menu has a variety of options both food and drinks. Today, I had an incredible pb&j (The Cash Money). The balance of heat and sweet in their house-made jelly was incredible. Sandwiches can be paired with a house salad. The salad is generous with its portion compared to other places. The art work is great and creates an overall theme to the place. Server was attentive and pleasant.

Great food, nice service, super location. This was our first time and we loved it. We appreciated the dog friendly patio and the side of Turkey was a great day for our dog. We will be back.
