The Quinta Arboretum is a delight to visit, today was a bit muddy under foot but well worth the effort. Very peaceful, enjoyed the birds and seeing the ancient Oaks and the beautiful avenues of trees. A bite of lunch at the Swettenham Arms was lovely too.

My walk around the Arboretum this morning was beautiful:snowdrops and daffodils out. Please visit and donate to the Garden Society.
33 acres of forest and garden to explore, right behind the pub. Ideal to walk your dogs on lead during a hot summers day due to the amount of shade and natural cooling. Even better when the pub is open as you can get a drink and food in the lavender garden There is an entry fee of 2.50 via an honesty box
