A bunch of old sweary men huddled around a bar. Not a cosy place to drink. Apparently it is better on a night when they have music upstairs.
The Lounge is a Lerwick legend. Downstairs is a no frills public bar - great for a simple pint. Upstairs is very different. Can be a bit touristy but the live music sessions can be world class, literally. On a Wednesday night you will probably see and hear traditional music played to an exceptionally high standard. Tonight it was bluesy and jazzy and very, very good.
Perfect for quite drink staff are awesome
If you want a real Scottish hospitality come here. It is a quaint little bar with an array of beers and other drinks. The gentleman behind the bar looked after us and helped my elderly grandmother to find the bathrooms. Thanks for looking after us. Cash only!
