Pleasant tea rooms with reasonable menu at reasonable costs. Sat outside on patio as restricted space inside which was fine if not a little lacking in personality. Handy for food / drink in Writtle if you prefer to avoid pubs. Staff quite friendly

It was an excellent outing at the team room. The people were friendly. The food was delicious. The prices were very reasonable. You could either sit in or outside. The selection of dessert cakes was very impressive. We were spoilt for choice. The Bakewell tart was definitively homemade. It was sweet, moist and melted on the tongue. See you soon.

Sunday sunshine outdoors. Great place for several groups of cyclists to re-fuel. Lordship system works well. Order at counter with your table number and they serve you. Good food and good service.

Had lunch here, food was good and well presented, the table wasn't clear but we hadn't booked. Was given the cutlery all filthy dirty, which considering it was all standing in a jar it was clear to see they were dirty. I got them changed quite quickly, so just need some attention to detail, on the cleanliness that's all.
