Such a joy to be welcomed on a short break into local communities. The heart of such places are often the country pub. Just visited The Lord Nelson in Norton Sub Hamdon for a pub lunch. Warm welcome great beers, wines and food. Shown to be a special place as most of the other diners were more local. Good choice of home cooked fare. Find time to support these places if luck enough to get away.

Excellent food, made from scratch. Very knowledgeable about allergies and intolerances. Most dishes can be made gluten free. Nice pint of Ale, parking at the back and a playground in the park opposite
A great pub in a beautiful village. Had a cracking pint of well kept real ale and some lovely food and excellent service. Highly recommended.
First time venturing out since lockdown and we had a Christmas meal with all the trimmings which was delicious! Thankyou to all at The Nelson for working so hard for everyone.
I've been coming to this pub ever since I was little and have been through quite a few management changeovers. The current team are lovely and produce excellent food. They've got everything from your typical country pub fare, to great vegetarian and even vegan options and delicious deserts too. Indoor, outdoor, and wheelchair accessible seating available.
