I'd definitely give the Lockhart five stars. I visited today and can't compliment the place highly enough. We ordered a vegetarian roast which the comment was passed on to the chef \the best I've ever had\ and I just had pate and toast but it was really good. The drinks list is huge especially the info given on beers. I also noticed they have quite a variety of gins and spirits. Whoever served us is a natural really friendly and couldn't do enough o make it a good experience. You can actually see the chefs working in the kitchen. What surprised me was it really reasonably priced on everything food and drinks. If you go on a Sunday I would book because there seemed to be an awful lot of people asking for tables. One last thing you can sit outside. I'd give ten out of ten easy.

A Sunday roast favourite! It has always been consistently good, with rare beef, pork belly & pulled lamb confit. However this has changed recently. The pork belly is half the size (but cost the same price) & the lamb now served as a shoulder. Still delicious but bring back the original style serving of meats!!
Delicious! Restaurant quality food to take away, huge portions in clever packaging. So fresh and tasty, brilliant.
I ordered a takeaway sundsy dinner for my daughter on her birthday and she was thrilled. Amazing food and run and staffed by lovely people
