Paper cups and plastic knofe for the scone. Scone and coffee as tasty as ever. Jam not amazing, just standard hence 4star. On the pricier side, like the other reviews mention. Has a good covid system, one out, one in. Same eoth the toilets and good sanitising protocol. Plenty of seating.

We love to stop here when we travel up to Newcastle from Bradford, which we do three or four times a year. Fab bacon and sausage sandwiches. Girls serving very pleasant. Covid regime is very well implemented and we felt very safe sitting outside in the Sun. Thanks as always. Highly recommend!
three star because the service was good and pleasant with an equally good cup of coffee. but the lasagne was the downfall. I took the pantry label off and found another label underneath belonging to another company for 1.50 less than I paid and a use by date for 2 month earlier. Clearly bought in bulk and frozen. nothing wrong with that but as it would have been bought for less than the original price there was a bit mark up and I paid for a good lasagne and got a less than average one. Don't usually do reviews as each to their own but couldn't let this go. Hopefully it's not the usual for them.
My bacon butty was delicious and I would give it a 4 star rating. However the staff were abrupt and rude. I totally agree with Vee Morris. I have never understood why anyone without simple common courtesy would be used front of house. I was made to feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Ordinarily I would not write a bad review however as you can tell the staff have not learned from previous constructive criticism therefore it's fully deserved. Simple pleasantries is all customers actually require....sadly they were missing.
