Not very prepossessing inside but our meal was smashing. Two seafood platters and one baked potato with beans were delicious and the chips were the best I have ever eaten. The landlord was helpful, cheerful and solicitous, offering grated cheese to the ten year old to go with her potato and beans and bringing her a large bowlful and also offering the adults various alternatives to mushy peas! Nice dog too!
Very friendly including dogs. We were greeted by the resident labrador. Good for watching football
Not my kind of place. More of a younger persons pub only does limited larger NO CASK ALE. Does food but DIDN'T eat so no comment. You may like it worth trying for 1 to see what you think.
Great little pub, which pulled out the stops to put together some very tasty sandwiches, even though the village was basically closed for half day trading. Very helpful owner. Needs some attention and is a work in progress..... But they are certainly trying hard, and will no doubt achieve.
