Highly recommend Suzie at the Little Sewing Company, her one to one tuition is excellent; informative, experienced, friendly and a warm environment. I experienced two one to one lessons with Suzie and can't recommend her highly enough.

Suzie is a fantastic teacher. In one lesson she helped me overcome my fears of a sewing machine and learn enough to go home and confidently thread my machine and successfully alter a pair of pyjamas that night! She puts you at ease and knows exactly what and how to teach a true beginner. I am now hooked.
I had a one on one sewing lesson at Suzie's lovely home, I haven't used a machine in around 20 years and was not sure what to expect, I learnt a lot more than I even new there was to learn! Suzie is a wonderful teacher and made me feel so welcome, she went through step by step how to load the thread and needle and explained the different types of stitches and their uses. I am so pleased I went and am looking forward to buying my own machine. I would recommend Suzie to anyone looking to learn a new skill or refresh their knowledge.
Good but small selection of dressmaking fabrics - focus is on wide selection of good cottons for crafting. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Update March 2019 - shop closing down.
My teenage daughter has been having one to one lessons at the Little Sewing Company for over 4 years and it has been nothing but a wonderful, positive experience. The new move to Southbourne has maintained the cosy, bright and professional feeling that the shop had, with the same level of resources and friendly, expert tuition from Suzie. A lovely experience for both children and parents. An added bonus is the ease of close, street parking!!
They were so friendly and super helpful from phone call to arrival at the shop, where they took time to look at my machine to make sure I purchased the correct items. very rare to find such lovely customer service I will definitely be returning.
Love it here. Great selection of high quality materials and accessories. Have been on two sewing courses here, too. Helpful, knowledgeable staff.
I moved to Mudeford and found The Little Sewing Company. I have found a gem - I have so enjoyed the lessons that are on offer within The Little Sewing Company. The sheer joy of making a garment and the professional help is fantastic. It's a fun class and I will be making it a regular visit. It's never too late to learn.
