Always had brilliant quality beautiful tasting food from The Lion. Doesn't matter what I order I'm confident it will be full of flavour and taste delicious. Wouldn't go anywhere else, staff are really friendly and welcoming would definitely recommend

Visited this restaurant about 4 weeks ago for the first time. The staff were friendly, food was excellent a fabulous night. Last night due to COVID restrictions I ordered a takeaway once again service and food excellent. I strongly recommend this restaurant
Okay not great, the starter I had a chicken tikka starter the fried onions was badly burnt. The main I had a vindaloo which tasted very odd... It tasted more like tomato puree than a vindaloo. It's only saving grace was how good the chicken was, it tasted great and so fresh. Social distancing went through the window as this place was rammed shoulder to shoulder through the eat out to help out scheme. To be honest I will not be returning.
Came here for one of the first post lock-down meal's out. The food is always lovely, and the staff are great, but they were very careful about making sure they complied with some of the health and safety restrictions such as face masks, sanitiser and social distancing. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be going again.
The moment we walked into the restaurant the staff were so polite nothing was to much trouble.food was amazing from start to finish , thank you to all at the lion, Will definitely be back
