The Lime Tree Restaurant and Wine Bar

We were regulars at the Didsbury HQ when we lived in Manchester, and it was always in our top 5 in the northwest. Since we moved to South Chesire, that's a bit far away for a regular visit, but we're so glad that the Bollington branch is only 30 minutes or so away. Visited today for the first time this year; we haven't eaten out much recently because, well, because. So when we do eat out we need to choose carefully so we're not left feeling disappointed. We went today for lunch, and man were we NOT disappointed. We shared the nachos and pea dip. Delish. I had butternut soup, which was perfect, and the cauliflower and chickpea Indian style main. Perfect balance of spice, acid and texture. Really lovely. Mrs Express had the chicken liver parfait, as usual, and it was perfect, as usual, with roast beef for main. The beef looked great and the yorkie and roasties were also spot on. I keep on using the word 'perfect'. Again, because. We didn't leave room for puds sadly, so can't comment. All in all a really first rate Sunday lunch. We definitely won't leave it so long next time!

Fantastic place, highly recommend. Great food and friendly, helpful staff. Been here a few times and can't fault it one bit. Food is delicious with a few great options, and perfect sized portions. Kids menu is good and they can customer make it for those fussy little ones like mine! Service always pretty quick and a small car park at the back. Decor lovely and kept lovely and clean. Recommend having a side of roasted courgettes they are to die for!!

Had a meal just before lockdown, it was gorgeous. The staff were lovely, everyone socially distanced and the food was yummy!! Can't wait for it to re-open :)

My parents went to the Lime Tree in Bollington for their 40th Wedding Anniversary and absolutely adored it. The restaurant was very prompt between ordering meals and serving them and they were super helpful when it came to making special arrangements (they loved their dessert plates). My parents will be revisiting again as they thought it was superb. Staff were also very friendly and were ready to provide a help in hand - thank you so much.
