Best fish and chips i have had. I don't normally eat batter as it is too thick and sodgy but this was light and crispy beautiful. All freshly cooked amazing! Worth a trip if you are within an hour. We also sat and ate our fish and chips watching the dolphins in New Quay bay...perfect! Thanks you lime crab! Phipps' tips... They take card (hopefully this won't even be a thing to write soon), they have a good process in place for corona virus prevention, my only suggestion would be to change the fact that the salt and vinegar are left outside to help yourself which I think isn't great for cross contamination but would be a great touch if CV wasn't around, take your chips to the stone built peer and try to spot some dolphins, although there are a few seagulls around as you would expect. But remember...you can't guarantee the weather

As a family we’ve been itching to return so we did. Wonderful selection of food available and some of the nicest chip shop chips I’ve ever eaten. Had the fantastic sea food platter, beautiful selection, Dad had cod, delicious and chunky, Mum sea bass, so tasty and vegetarian sister had halloumi which was delicious. So nice to have a chippy nearby that doesn’t just trot out the usual cod or haddock and not much else. Scallops next time for me! Oh and great that fish always comes with a wedge of lemon and tartare sauce
Not impressed. The fish was not fresh. I had the salt and pepper squid which was frozen from Costco (we get the same stuff at home and it's 100% the same squid). Chips were lovely but that's a given anywhere.
We shared salt and pepper squid, and tempura prawns. The squid was amazingly tender. Fantastic location too. Enjoyed eating on the harbour wall in the sunshine.
Best fish and chips ever. Fantastic safe service. Woukd highly recommend.
