In a word, disgusting. Needlessly unpleasant. I get it, staff are under pressure from exceptional circumstances. But it wasn't like the food was any good even before substantial meals became necessary, never mind now. And manners clearly don't exist. We were told in no uncertain terms to leave after a single round of shots. 5 unit limit, they made up, and looked at us like we were aliens who had spat on their grans' tombstones when we asked where this came from. Could've at least warned us at the door if you're gonna come out with this bs, would have saved us 20 or so on food. There were others who had been there since long before we arrived, but they would never dream of kicking out any of the over 30s. All this before I mention any complaints about management from people I know who used to work there, great location but as Gordon Ramsay would say, what a waste.

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Covid measures well implemented without interfering with the general ambience. I like the table service and was served by a very polite & efficient waitress.

Breakfast this morning at 8.15am, no condiments offered by waitress, bacon undercooked, beans cold, tomato hard and cold. Sausage nice, egg well cooked but cold, toast cold and hash browns excellent. Mentioned it to the bar staff, first reaction \ shouldn't be\ no manager or supervisor offered to speak to. Avoid early morning breakfast, as, previous late breakfast was as expected a good standard. Brought up to eat first, then, complain as don't want a replacement breakfast, as, worked in the trade and seen so many staff mess with your food out of spite, nor, did I want a refund.

Really nice pub, large seating area inside, plus front and rear beer gardens. Being able to see your food prepared is different (for a Wetherspoons, although I've been to one in Blackpool where you can sort of see in the kitchen but not as open as this one). Food was good, generous portion of chips and burger tasted great.
