Absolutely wonderful cafe. It caters for all dietary needs and the food is delicious. Especially the cakes! I take my 2 children in there and we play board games, without worrying about them being too loud, so long as they are happy and respectful. Would definitely recommend to anyone, young and old.
Very friendly. Recommend the coffee and walnut cake and hot chocolate. Dog friendly.
The Library cafe is INCREDIBLE. Had easily one of the best veggie breakfasts of my life there. We visited on our last day in Weymouth and, had we have gone there first, I worry we wouldn't have explored anywhere else! Means we need another trip down in order to explore their incredible menu. The cakes looked delicious but, alas, we were too full up on a wonderfully cooked, nutritious yet still decadent breakfast with loads of halloumi, the best tasting mushrooms and spinach, top notch homemade beans and the happiest, yolkiest, perfectly cooked poached egg. The cafe is very cool but we sat on the beautiful blue tables by the quay. Could not have asked for a prettier spot. The vibe definitely reminded us of home (Brighton); vinyl and books inside, friendly staff, incredible menu, lots of veggie/vegan options. I you're in Weymouth, don't hesitate to check this place out, whether for coffee and cake or the incredible food menu. You will not regret it.
The library is one of the nicest independent cafes I've ever been to; the owners were very welcoming and friendly, and the cakes on offer were clearly homemade and were delicious (they also seem to have a good selection of vegan and gluten free options). The cafe is clearly making an effort to be a community hub with high ethics rather than just another tourist trap, I really hope they continue to succeed.
