It truly is one of the most exquisite & unique libraries & our secret treasure trove is right in the heart of Leeds! All the staff are very friendly & knowledgeable too. It also happens to be the oldest subscription library nationwide & has been going since 1768!

The Leeds Library is a wonderful place to rest, relax and immerse yourself in the impressive collection of books on offer. A heads-up..this is a private library you have to pay to join but you can arrange a free tour and there are regular events there throughout the year. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere make it a gem in the heart of Leeds.
This library is very Haunted one particular day I could barely get my reading in with all the paranormal activity. something brushed up against my head and I kept hearing a phantom shhh shhh!!! I finally had to leave and have not been back.
Historic and serene haven in the heart of the city. Great staff.
