We came for dinner, had a 3 course meal. For starters , we had chowder and squid, both extremely good! My husband had the steak for main, he loved it. My risoto was good, however, I could over taste the stock in it. For desert, I had a Delicious moist brownie ( very sweet) and my husband had the sticky toffee pudding, a bit too sweet for my taste. Great roast coffee and wine. Overall , a great place to go.

What a charming venue! I make a point of coming each time I visit Belfast. Friendly staff (the owner makes an effort to chat to everyone) and delicious food. We even received a complimentary Christmas pudding .
Really really really delicious!!! I would like to recommend to everyone. We have four people and order four pre-theater (2 courses)! So there are two starters, four main courses, and two desserts. We feel really full Spaghetti and steak are wonderful. (Of course, every courses is delicious.) The word I can say is yummy PS: The last order for pre-theater is 18:15. Oh I forget to picture the menu...
I can not recommend this plsce enough. My family and i arrived in belfast for a 4 night staycation and The lantern was our last night. Wow! Fab food, fab service and the owner is top. He could not have done anymore for us. Everyone in my family loved the food and drink. So if u find yourself in belfast this place has to be on your list for dinner. Thanks again guys oh really made our last night the best. #2020staycation
Just been for a beautiful dinner in the lantern service was second to none the table server made us feel very welcome and at ease with his friendly attitude and banter food was lovely would highly recommend and will definatley be back again 10/10
