Went to the Snaith kitchen today, which me and and my friends usually love... we queued for 20 mins or so but when we asked for a table we were told they can only seat 4 people but there was 5 of us. We had looked on their fb beforehand and we couldn’t see anything explaining this. We said we’d be happy to sit as a 3 and a 2, but the lady then explained that if we sat in we couldn’t have salads... despite the fact they were serving take out salads... very odd. We didn’t know what to do at this point so the lady said we could go discuss with our friends outside whether we wanted to sit in or get takeout and to bob back in once we had spoken to them. After a quick chat we decided to get takeout so walked back in and politely explained we’d like to get takeout, only to be greeted very rudely by another staff member who said we would have to queue again from the beginning! In the end she let us get takeout without queuing again, but to summarise it was a shambles from start to finish. The first staff member was very polite and well mannered, it’s just a shame about the ridiculous lack of clarity with eating in, the nonsensical salad rule & the other rude staff member.
Service is great if your looking for a new kitchen
Excellent food, coffee and service. Great place to stop whilst out on a bike ride. Superb cake and delightful savoury food
