This was by far the best meal we ate during a recent trip to Inverness and the Cairngorms! The restaurant has a lovely location on the riverside, and staff were super friendly and helpful. We did have a booking but arrived early which thankfully wasn’t a problem as we were quickly seated. They have a great selection of vegetarian/vegan food, and I chose a starter of beetroot carpaccio and a mushroom burger as my main, while my partner had a delicious tomato soup and a chicken dish. We both had dessert too. Everything was really tasty, in fact we are both still talking about how good the soup was! They also had a decent wine list and I liked the fact that we could get a 500ml carafe of wine to share instead of a full bottle. We’ll definitely return next time we’re in town!

Absolutely amazing! Lovely view and atmosphere and the burger I had was literally the best burger in Inverness! Will definitely be coming back for more!

Nice and cozy vibe while keeping it quite classy. The staff are dressed to impress and the food is outstanding. If you're looking for a quick espresso break and you want a nice quiet spot by the window while you check on the news or if you're hungry enough to go for a big juicy steak then this is the place for you. Be sure to call ahead and book as walk-ins are welcomed, but can't always get a seat as pre booked customers get priority.

Lovely meal, my family and I had a great night. The staff were extremely friendly, and the service was very fast. You can't go wrong with their food, and as that's a well known thing, I recommend that you book in advance. I really liked my meal of pea&shallot tortellini, although some sort of sauce as an option wouldn't have gone amiss! The dinner menu is a little pricey ( although the lunch menu is great value) but thankfully for the Eat Out To Help Out scheme, the meal was an affordable price. The day before we'd dined in the Mustard Seed, and received a loyalty card with the bill there. And, because The Kitchen is it's sister restaurant, we were able to utilize the card, and got a cup of coffee on the house which was fab! I would love if they could add just one more veggie option to the menu for a bit more variety, even if the Mustard Seed and The Kitchen were to pair up with the same vegetarian options ( meaning each would have 4 options altogether) that would be much appreciated ( as I had even been considering dining in the Mustard Seed a second time in a row as a result of eyeing up the veggie gratin on the mustard seed menu and knowing that a great veggie find is not always easy, however my family wanted to try out somewhere different) But all in all, the food is delicious. Highly recommend!!

Very delicious food, and very nice personal. But I didn't like my table. The rest was good. And we had to wait for our food about 1hour. That was kind a long time. But it was worth it
