Really nice pint but, if the chef/landlord cooked as intently as he watches the carpark and yells at potential patrons they would probably get more business Very unfriendly, try the fox inn down the road, much better.
Excellent olde worlde roadside country pub. Very friendly and helpful landlady and a good choice of ales including one from the (very) nearby Firebird Brewery. No giant pub garden but a small decked area out the back with a good view of the Norman village church and a very floral outside drinking area at the front. Recommend the vegetarian Heidi pie.
