Always a great homely meal & atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Dinning offers on different days (OAP, fish supper etc). Pub quiz every other Sunday.

Me and my partner decided to take a drive out and find a nice pub for a couple of drinks before we went home. We parked up in the car park and went in via the side door that stated entrance. Being the first time we had ever been to this pub we stopped at the entrance wondering what their setup was due to covid. I saw a pad inside the door but their was no pen to write our names. We walked through slowly to find 8-10 people in 1 group blocking the way in but one lady apologised and moved back. I thanked her and said we was new and wasn't sure their setup. A nice guy standing at the bar invited us to the bar to order and we started general chit chat. A lady who I belive may have been the owner told us we was not taking covid very seriously. I asked her shocked if she was joking as her and the other 9 members were not social distancing and blocking the way for anyone to come in. She then told me to not take it to heart. I said she had a cheek considering their setup as there is only 2 of us. Her husband piped up saying she's my wife and we can see who comes in on the cameras. Which I said well you should of got up and came to us as we was hovering around not knowing what their policy was to be presented with a crowd who then had the cheek to tell us we was not taking the virus serious. We was there 5/6 minutes and didn't even get to order a drink and decided to leave. The lady is a very strange lady who I feel didn't like any newbies coming into her clicky crowd and when we was chatting briefly to the guy at the bar it clearly upset her when I joked there's more than 6 of you which we all laughed at which she then verbally attacked us. A nasty nasty lady and if her and her husband are the owners the pub needs shutting during this time as they are clearly not take the virus seriously. Mixed in with her horrible personality is not a nice mix. Horrible individual who I would not wish to spend any time in her company.

Visited one Sunday, a few weeks ago, after a lovely walk around Shoreham. Nice unpretentious pub, great Sunday roast at a very reasonable price.

First time visiting and what a wonderful pub. Wonderful staff super helpful. I think I might have screwed up my drink order of a hot choclate but staff were super helpful and changed it without issue. Will visit again on a Weekly Basis as I walk through the area.
