Quintessential pub in the centre of the village and a new Good Beer Guide entry for the 2021 edition. Three real ales available, all sourced from the west country. The landlord and landlady are pleasant and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. A good mixture of locals and others, some traveling long distances to enjoy the country atmosphere. Good quality food is served, much of it locally sourced. A must visit if you're in the area.

Lovely village pub with great owners and staff - from original booking to dining, a very speedy service e.g. responded to booking request super quickly, never felt like you had to wait to order. Nice menu with some varying specials too, everything that came out of the kitchen smelt great! I had a battered Mars Bar for dessert, because when do you ever see that on the menu - sweet, chewy heaven. Drinks are very reasonably priced and good quality food and service. They are also doing very well to be Covid secure, a small pub, with well spaced out tables, felt very safe and would highly recommend if you are in the area.
Spur of the moment on Sunday afternoon in passing and after some food, made very welcome, good friendly, sociable staff and locals, Sirloin steak absolutely delicious, my friends were very impressed with food, service and the pub in general. Well done. We are from south Devon.
What a great pub!! Awesome food, great selection of drinks and excellent social distance measures put in place. Faye, Richard and the Team are doing a wonderful job and would highly recommend a visit.
Good pub,menu pretty varied,drinks and food well priced. No tv,however they do have a pub quiz which is very popular,gets fairly full at times so booking a meal may be advisable,small garden at side of the pub
