Nice food, and friendly easygoing service. Good gin tonic and good choice of beers. Food is a little carbohydrate rich, and my partridge was overcooked so rather chewy and dry, but the micro herbs on it were a delicious touch. The sausages were nice and the sauce with them was great. I her the sticky toffee pudding is good here but going for the crumble. Good choice ... absolutely delicious, highlight of the meal

First visit here, & have to say, I had a thoroughly good time! I had the salmon starter which was really tasty, followed by the roast beef with chunky veg, big roasties and fluffy Yorkshire pudding - all served piping hot! (pictured) My sister had the confit duck salad as the main course (pictured). Hats off to all the staff, as they were completely on top of all COVID requirements and were courteous, friendly & very helpful. It was really good to see the pub full with families supporting a local eaterie in these very difficult times for the hospitality sector.

Stylish / cosy residential pub. Very Good selection of beers. Tried their own bitter which was light / sweet. Stopped for lunch which was decent. Had a welcoming Xmas feel. Lucky locals!
